PHYS 1240 - General Physics II: Optics, Circuits, and Waves



Goals: To introduce students to the basic concepts of physics to develop skills in formulating and solving both theoretical and experimental physics problems in the areas of optics, circuits, waves, and heat using calculus.

Content: Topics include fluid mechanics, dc circuits, oscillations and waves, thermodynamics, and optics.
Taught: Spring term.
Prerequisites: PHYS 1150 or 1230, and MATH 1180 or co-registration or by permission of the instructor.
