ESL 8102 - Exploring Second Language Acquisition This course addresses the knowledge base of first and second language acquisition, including theories of language learning and the factors of individual learning. Learner language and instructor-student interaction are examined as are error correction techniques. Candidates learn to identify the range of research carried out in SLA through reading research and writing critical evaluations of research on their topics of interest.
