School of Business Joint Degree Programs with Law

In collaboration with the School of Law, the School of Business offers law students the opportunity to earn two degrees which combine law with public administration, business administration, or nonprofit management.
Three joint degrees are offered:
- Law & Public Administration (JD/MPA)
- Law & Business Administration (JD/MBA)
- Law & Nonprofit Management (JD/MNM)

JD/MBA Joint Degree Requirements
In addition to successfully completing their JD, law students pursing the JD/MBA need to complete the following requirements from the standard MBA degree: Module 1, Module 2, Module 5, Module 6, and MBA 8350.
JD/MNM Degree Requirements
In addition to successfully completing their JD, law students pursing the JD/MNM need to complete all degree requirements for the MNM degree except the 12 elective credits.
JD/MPA Degree Requirements
In addition to successfully completing their JD, law students pursing the JD/MPA need to complete all degree requirements for the MPA degree except the 12 elective credits.
Joint Degree Admission Requirements
Hamline University law students who have completed one year of study at the School of Law and who have grade point average of 2.5 or higher are eligible to apply for a joint degree program.
