MBA 8020 - Corporate Finance This course presents the theory and practice of corporate finance. Topics include concepts of corporate valuation, financial statement analysis and forecasting: the evaluation of capital investments under differing assumptions about risks and the state of the world; the financing choice for capital projects; the effects of debt, equity and derivative financial instruments on the value of the firm; dividend policy and other stakeholder forms of payment; corporate restructuring, bankruptcy, and merger; issues in corporate control and compensation.
