Developed in consultation with environmental professionals in both formal and non-formal settings, the Environmental Education certificate is a mix of introductory environmental education concepts, teaching methodology and best practices, issues and actions in environmental education, and a broad selection of content-specific courses.
This certificate is designed as a ‘build your own’ program. We offer a wide variety of courses in environmental and science education so that students may tailor the program to their areas of interest. Once completed, the certificate may be used to fulfill elective requirements for the Master of Arts in Natural Sciences and Environmental Education program, or electives in other graduate programs with approval of the Chair of the School of Education and Leadership or Program Director.
