PHYS 1120 - Astronomy

Goals: To engage students in scientific observation an thought through astronomy, and to share a sense of wonder about the Universe.

Content: Ancient astronomy, planetary motion, telescope optics, image processing, stars and their lifecycle, galaxies, large-scale structure, cosmology.
