Return to: School of Education and Leadership
Nature-based Early Learning is a growing and diverse field. Those with training in this discipline work in nature preschools, parks, forest kindergartens, and nonformal education settings. Grounded in equity, this certificate provides a solid understanding of policy, practices, methods and frameworks that impact nature-based learning in a variety of early childhood settings. It provides a unique focus on children age 3-8 years old and culminates with a professional synthesis project. This certificate does NOT include an early childhood education license, but it provides a credential that is in high demand across the United States and beyond.
