Theatre/Dance Licensing for K-12 Teaching

The department of theatre arts has been approved by the state of Minnesota to offer the K-12 license in theatre/dance. Fulfillment of the state requirement requires 13 courses in theatre/dance. Students must also complete the Undergraduate Education requirements for a Minnesota teaching license (see Education Co-Major). Individuals contemplating a teaching license should meet with an advisor in the theatre department as soon as possible to facilitate course planning.
