LL.M. PROGRAM FOR FOREIGN LAWYERS
Graduation Requirements
LL.M. Time Limitations: LL.M. students must complete their program of studies within 36 months of commencing studies at the law school. (AR 104) This date begins with the date of matriculation (first day of classes) and ends with the date on which the student completes all requirements for graduation.
Credits and GPA: In order to earn the LL.M. degree from Hamline Law, a student must complete a minimum of 24 semester credits with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 or above. (AR 104)
Required Courses: The LL.M. student must complete the required course, American Legal System in the first semester at Hamline. (AR 110)
Hamline Law Credits Required for Graduation: At least 18 (including the American Legal System course) of the total 24 credits required for the LL.M. degree must be completed at Hamline Law. (AR 102)

Electives
Working with an academic advisor, LLM students choose 21 elective credits from the law school course catalog.
