   |  ESL 7776 - ESL Methods Part IIGoals: To allow teacher candidates to practice and to demonstrate competence with effective assessment and teaching methodology within K-12 ESL classrooms. Second in a two-course sequence.
 Content: Planning curriculum that incorporates national, state and local standards; implementing a variety of instructional strategies to address the needs of diverse learners; using and implementing formative and summative assessments. This course includes 30 hours of clinical experience outside of scheduled class time - dates, times, and school sites to be determined. The clinical for this course requires a background check conducted by the school district. Students are responsible for the fee (averaging $20, depending on the specific placement) and completing the background check forms in a timely manner at the beginning of the term.
 Prerequisite: For K-12 ESL licensure candidates - ESL 7775 with a grade of B- or better
