MUS 3120 - A Cappella Choir Content: Hamline University’s A Cappella Choir studies and performs vocal music from around the world, from a variety of time periods and genres. Students will explore vocal music’s social, cultural, and historic contexts. Students will also make progress in areas of vocal technique, sight-reading, and musicianship skills. The ensemble performs 2-4 concerts per academic year, both on- and off- campus. The ability to read music is not a requirement.
Prerequisite: An audition with the director. Selected students will demonstrate the abilities to sing in tune and learn music through notation and/or by ear.
