MSBA 8120 - Bias, Ethics, and Principles of Data Science This course addresses the ethical dimension of data science. Security and privacy of our data is of utmost concern to organizations and individuals. Data ethics is viewed through the lens of cognitive biases and the ways we build models and algorithms to aid in our decisions. Data collection, management, manipulation, sharing, ownership, and persistence all factor into an ethical framework. This class will discuss all of these topics to understand how an organization aligns ethical practices with principles.
