MBA 8021 - Financial Institutions and Markets This course covers financial markets and institutions, the relationship between interest rates and security prices, money markets where interest rates are determined, and the roles of consumers, businesses, and governments in the financial markets. The course (1) examines how markets are organized and how trading occurs; and (2) establishes a framework for understanding how existing markets are established and how markets evolve over time. The concentration is on securities markets and trading practices; and the role of regulation of financial institutions is examined in detail.
