LAW 9904 - MSL Foundation Course: Introduction to Legal Method and Ethics This course introduces Masters in the Study of Law students to the study of law and prepares them for academic success in their upper level curriculum. After an initial intense focus on the fundamentals of legal analysis, the course offers a general survey of the common law, introduces key concepts in administrative law and regulatory compliance, provides hands‑on training in basic legal research and legal writing, and examines the ethics rules that govern the work of lawyers and so profoundly influence lawyer‑client interactions.
