LAW 9163 - Legal Research and Writing Teaching Assistant

Legal Research and Writing (LRW) teaching assistants assist with teaching a variety of skills to LRW students. Each teaching assistant is assigned to work with one LRW instructor. Depending on the instructor and on the teaching assistant’s qualifications and interests, teaching assistants engage in a variety of tasks, including helping to develop research and writing assignments; participating in classroom teaching; holding office hours and being available via email to assist students; grading writing, research, and citation exercises submitted by students; checking citations on submitted assignments; and keeping student records.

Enrollment is by invitation of the Director of the LRW Department upon advance application. The course is offered only on a pass/no pass basis and is worth one credit per semester.
