LAW 9316 - Consumer Lending


This course is designed to expose students to state and federal consumer lending laws and regulations, including loan transactions, debt collection, and usury. The course will focus on the following consumer lending laws: Truth-in-Lending Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Fair Housing Act, and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. In addition, the course will focus on laws relating to unfair or deceptive acts and practices.

Prerequisite: Banking Law
